Dr. Royce Blackburn is an experienced vocal instructor and performer with a passion for helping singers at all levels from professionals, to aspiring artists, and beginners. With an extensive teaching career spanning over 25 years at the University of North Dakota and the University of Iowa, he has fostered talent across a spectrum of genres, including classical, musical theatre, and pop.

Royce's approach emphasizes the importance freedom and vocal health, allowing his students to explore a wide range of styles. His commitment to excellence is evident in the accomplishments of his students, many of whom have graced the stages of regional opera houses, symphonies, and theatre companies across the United States including regional finalists in the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, Royce not only hones your technical skills but also instills confidence, empowering you to express your artistry in meaningful ways.
